A Letter from our President

Reflecting on my own journey at Cornell, joining DG my freshman year has anchored me to an incredible group of women who I will love and cherish for the rest of my life. The camaraderie, love and support I encountered is truly extraordinary, and DG became my home away from home after being away from my family for the first time.
Adjusting to life at Cornell, I found myself crowded with intense academics, wanting to form new friendships, feelings of homesickness, while also embracing my newfound independence. While my new environment was vast, I also wanted to find a smaller community within Cornell. I looked at what our boundless university had to offer and I found Delta Gamma -- a group of women who shared the same ideals of friendship, scholarship, service, and leadership.
Not only have I met some of my best friends here, but I have also grown as a leader. If you had told me freshman year that I would be writing to you as the Delta Gamma President, I would never have believed it. The warmth and support I have felt from my DG sisters took the shy and quiet freshman and made me into the strong and confident woman I am today. DG has given me the outlet I needed to demonstrate that I am capable of being a leader and my surprising passion for it.
Joining DG was a pivotal moment in my life, one that will stay with me past my collegiate experience as I venture into life as an alumnae. The friendships I've formed, the sense of belonging I've found, and the chance to create meaningful change in our community are gifts I will treasure forever.
As we sail through this new chapter together, I am filled with gratitude for each of you and excited to embark on the journey ahead.
