A Letter from the VP Recruitment

Dear Potential New Members,

My name is Olivia Rubler and I have the honor of serving as  Delta Gamma’s Vice President of Membership. I am thrilled to welcome you to the recruitment process, and I hope you know just how excited we are to meet each one of you.

Coming to Cornell from a smaller high school was a big transition for me, and I remember feeling a bit overwhelmed at first.  Going through Recruitment opened the door to an incredible community of strong, supportive women who have truly become my family. Over the past three years, DG has been my home away from home, and the memories and friendships I've made here are ones I will always treasure.

Delta Gamma has a rich history here at Cornell, having been part of our  community since 1885 and is the longest continually running sorority at Cornell. We are so proud of the legacy we carry forward, as DGs who value high ideals of friendship, strive for educational excellence, cultivate cultural interests, foster a sense of social responsibility, and uphold the best qualities of character. When you join DG, you are joining a vast network of amazing members and alumni, that will always be there to lend a helping hand. My DG sisters constantly inspire me to be my best self, and its a privilege to pass those values on to our future members!

I know the recruitment process might seem a little intimidating, but I promise you all, it is a journey filled with excitement, growth and joy. Throughout this process, you'll meet women from all different backgrounds and interests, each bringing their own unique light.  I encourage you to take this time to get to know each person you meet, to embrace the connections that come your way and explore what makes each sisterhood special. 

 

With so many amazing sororities here on the Cornell campus, there is truly a perfect place for everyone and I'm confident you will find a home where you can grow and thrive. We can’t wait for you to get to know DG and to learn about all the wonderful things you'll bring to our community.
